    1.2344 is an air hardening hot work tool steel which combines a very good red-hardness with toughness and co vers a wide variety of applications.1.2344 can be water cooled in service and offers high temperature strength and wear resistance.

    Cold Work Tool Steel

    Tool steels with abrasion resistance used in moulds such as cutting, crushing, plastering. When the martensitic transformation in high carbon cold work tool steels is completed in minus streams, cryogenic process is applied to minimize the amount of residual austenite. This process, which is applied at -196 degrees, increase the toughness and abrasion resistance of the materials considerably.

    1.2379 is a high carbon, high chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, air hardening tool steel which offershigh surface hardness, good wear resistance, through hardening properties, dimensional stability and high resistance to tempering effect. 1.2379 is also suitable for vacuum hardening.

    1.2083 (X42Cr13)

    1.2083 is a chromium alloyed stainless plastic mould steel, which is characterised by good polishability, good hardenability giving high hardness, with fair corrosion resistance
    Pre heat to 600-700°C until heated through. Continue heating to the final hardening temperature of 980-1050 °C and allow the component to be heated through. Protect against decarburisation by using neutral salt bath, controlled atmosphere furnace or vacuum. Air cool or quench in oil.
    Grade Applications
    1.2738 Plastic moulds and pressure die casting moulds, extrusion press moulds.
    1.2083 In moulds which have a chemical effect with corrosion effect.
    1.2316 Resistant to corrosion with its stainless feature. It performs well in PVC and similar moulds.
